Merry Christmas!
MERRY CHRISTMAS! This has been a year of huge changes and surprises for all of us. Proving that God’s plans are not always our plans but they are always better! In this year of change God has revealed to us His grace & faithfulness in a new way. We have seen His hand in our lives guiding us every step of the way.
This year has been a year of new adventures. Beginning in February we made the steps to begin looking for a dental practice to buy and “hang our own shingle” as Jesse likes to say. In June, Jesse made the move to Madison to begin purchasing a dental practice and as we would find out later, Jesse moved in the Holiday Inn Express which became our home until October! In August, Tamara and kids moved down to begin sports & school. Tom began JV football and Tiffany JV &V soccer. They both did well. Tom has since started JV basketball and Tiffany is waiting for either track or indoor soccer to begin in January. Delaine is doing baton twirling and Dominique just finished his first sport, basketball. In October we finally moved into our new home! It has been said that just driving to our home is an adventure! We found a nice house on 6 acres in a small town. On the 10 mile drive down a winding road you will see some of the things we like best in each state we have lived. You will see big gorgeous trees, you will follow and cross over the steady flow of the creek, you will see numerous farms growing corn and tobacco. Once you have spotted our pole barn you will realize our house is close! We live quietly across the road from a small white Baptist church complete with a cemetery! Tiffany can feel free to play her drums as loud as she likes (she has not raised the dead yet!) and Tom can play basketball as late as he likes (or as long as dad can stand the bouncing of the ball while he sleeps)!
Tamara took on a new adventure of her own, working outside the home to help Jesse with his new practice. Although she is now on “maternity leave” because we are excited to celebrate this Christmas with our newest “duckie”, Kathryn Annika Grace! Kathryn was born on December 5th , 3 weeks early! She weighed 7lbs 12.8 oz & 20 ½ inches long. Kathryn was born at 3:42 am making for a long night for Tamara & Jesse! Of course, Kathryn is very beautiful! One of the wonderful surprises God had in store! Samara is embracing the role of “big sister”. She acts as if it’s a promotion without too many jealousy issues.
We are still looking for a church home and look forward to getting settled in Madison area.
